Film und Performance

In the organizer's words:

Framed by short performances by the artist, we are showing two films by Christoph Blankenburg in the CINEMA in the basement:
Rennsteig Flimmern II - Shoulders, 2025, traveling film, 88 min
and
Rennsteig Flimmern III - So Fliegen oder So Schnaken, 2025, hiking film, 33:10 min

Christoph Blankenburg's experimental hiking films deal with regional identity and the concept of home. His artistic approach combines folkloristic field research, video documentation and performance. Last but not least, the films also invite you to hike the 170 km long ridge trail: "Gut Runst!"

The last two weeks of the exhibition Screen Time. Video Art in Leipzig since 1990 are about to begin. A comprehensive program is planned in cooperation with the exhibiting artists. You can find more information on the exhibition website.
