Interventions in the presentation of the city's recent history
Intervention in the permanent exhibition "MODERN TIMES" I
Leipzig City History Museum, 2nd floor, Old Town Hall
How does the Museum of City History deal with Leipzig's history from 1990 to the present day? Which and whose stories are included - which perspectives and voices are completely missing? And what happens when we invite people to participate in the narration of the post-reunification period and the present?
At the invitation of the Stadtgeschichtliches Museum, we took a critical look at the presentation of the city's recent history in the municipal museum. As part of an intervention, we comment on, supplement and expand the area of the permanent exhibition on the 2nd floor of the Old Town Hall and invite visitors to share their own perspectives and stories and exchange them with each other - and with us.
A supporting program of dialogue formats, readings and an audio walk will accompany our intervention in the exhibition.
