At the University of Dortmund, large flea markets are held every Saturday and every third Sunday of the month in the extensive parking areas of the TU.

Set-up and market times

Saturdays:
- Set-up from 4:00 a.m.
- Market time: 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Third Sunday of the month:
- Set-up from 6:00 a.m. (in good weather and in summer partly from 5:00 a.m.)
- Market hours: 11:00 - 17:00

Important note for traders:
Leaving the market area is only permitted after the official end of the market.

Saturday

Rummage goods:

- 10,00 € per running meter
- + 10,00 € basic fee
- + 5,00 € cleaning deposit

New goods:

- 17,00 € per running meter
- + € 10.00 basic fee
- + 5,00 € cleaning deposit

Sunday

Rummage goods:

- 12,00 € per running meter
- + 10,00 € basic fee
- + 5,00 € cleaning deposit

New goods:

- 25,00 € per running meter
- + € 10.00 basic fee
- + € 5.00 cleaning deposit

Further information:

- The sale of counterfeit branded goods is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in immediate exclusion from the market.
- The sale of new goods at Saturday and weekly flea markets is only permitted with a valid traveling trade card.
- From a stand length of 4 meters, a car may be parked at the stand free of charge.

Reservation

Stalls can be reserved on Saturdays between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. directly with the staff on site in the TU Dortmund University parking lot.

About the flea markets at TU Dortmund University

For over 30 years, the markets at the University of Dortmund have been among the most popular and traditional in the Ruhr region. Every Saturday and every third Sunday of the month, the large parking areas are transformed into a lively meeting place for visitors of all ages.

The Saturday market is known far beyond the city limits and attracts thousands of people every week. Private vendors offer second-hand goods, collector's items and special finds. Commercial vendors supplement the offer with new items. The green surroundings also create a pleasant atmosphere for browsing, shopping or strolling.

Food and drink are well catered for: from crêpes and waffles to bratwurst, kebabs and baked goods to coffee and cake, there is something to suit every taste.

Anyone who wants to give things away or make space at home can easily book a stall - anyone can take part.

How to get there

The TU Dortmund University parking lots are very well connected.
- You can reach the site by car in just a few minutes via the A40 (Barop exit). There are plenty of visitor parking spaces around the market.
- By public transport, you can reach the market directly via the S-Bahn line S1 to "Dortmund Universität".
- Alternatively, bus lines 447 and 462 also stop at "Dortmund Universität".
