After his sold-out show at the Elbphilharmonie on June 9, 2026, Florian Christl is returning to Hamburg in August - this time as part of the open-air concert series DRAUSSEN IM GRÜNEN. On August 26, 2026, the composer and pianist can be experienced live in Planten un Blomen and invites his audience to a special evening full of emotional sound moments.
Florian Christl inspires with his passionate playing and a compositional style that is both exciting and deeply moving. The Munich-based composer makes his comprehensive love of sound palpable in his music. His characteristic mix of sometimes delicate, sometimes powerful piano playing and emotionally charged, imaginative string arrangements makes his works unmistakable. Christl's music is moving - radically emotional, immediate and profound. Although his name is often associated with "neoclassicism", Christl sees himself anchored in the tradition of romanticism and therefore likes to describe himself as a "neo-romanticist". Improvisation is always the creative starting point for him: this personal process gives rise to sound spaces that open up moments of pause and inner resonance for the listener. The result is a concert evening that not only impresses musically, but also has a lasting effect. Florian Christl has been under contract exclusively with Sony Classical since 2018.
