Freedom of opinion is a fundamental right and as such is enshrined in the German Basic Law. But what does freedom of opinion encompass from a philosophical perspective? What is an opinion and what does it mean for it to be free? Do we all have a right to our own opinion, and to what extent are our thoughts and speech free? The lecture by Prof. Dr. Julia Zakkou (Heinrich Heine University) shows where freedom of opinion can reach its limits.
