Zollverein Women's Forum

Network, strengthen, become active!

The Zollverein Women's Forum is a non-partisan and intercultural network for women who want to actively shape social change - with strong partners from the neighborhood and the Ruhr region.

At the historic Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site, we create a space for exchange, education, empowerment and political action. Our aim is to connect women in Essen and the Ruhr region, strengthen their voices and create concrete opportunities for participation - locally, regionally and beyond. Exclusive guided tour with Natalia Taranta, Director of the Kunstraum Heilig Geist at the UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein through the exhibition "RE:CULTURE - Verortet - Kultur, Glaube, Zugehörigkeit" by Claudia Barbera and Muriel Gallardo Weinstein, curated by Alejandra Atala

Panel discussion with Julia Klewin, 2nd Mayor of the City of Essen, followed by exchange, discussion and snacks on the following topics: Political and social commitment, resilience, health, happiness and satisfaction, care and care work: children and family as well as work and career
