Woman, life, freedom! After the death of a young Iranian woman in Tehran, thousands take to the streets - including in Germany. The film paints a portrait of a protest that unites different generations.
On September 16, 2022, Jina Mahsa Amini was arrested by the Iranian morality police for allegedly wearing her headscarf incorrectly. Three days later, she died in custody. Her death sparked worldwide outrage. In Germany, too, numerous Iranian women in exileandsecond-generationGerman-Iranians- including Jasmin Shakeri, Pegah Ferydoni, Natalie Amiri and Enissa Amani - raised their voices and took to the streets together to make the longing for freedom in their distant homeland visible.
