Freiheit und Verantwortung in der Wissenschaft

In the organizer's words:

Freedom describes the possibility and ability of a person to make their own decisions without pressure or coercion from other people or external circumstances. However, this is linked to an ethical obligation to assess one's own abilities and the possible consequences of one's own decisions and to act in such a way that expected goals are achieved with the greatest probability and that the necessary and right thing is done to achieve them without harming others. Such a model of a free and responsible person is the ideal of democratic societies, and yet this sensitive field of forces is always at risk.

In a panel discussion, leading personalities from the city and country will address the topic of "freedom and responsibility" from their respective spheres of activity and discuss it together with the audience.
