Since her first releases, Freya Ridings has been one of the defining voices of the British singer-songwriter scene. With her unmistakable voice, she has a knack for tender ballads that swell into powerful anthems. She was born with this talent: She learned guitar and piano at an early age from her father, actor and musician Richard Ridings. She wrote her first songs at the age of nine and attended the renowned Brit School for the Performing Arts as a teenager. After her first releases and the live album "Live at St Pancras Old Church", her breakthrough came in 2017 with the single "Lost Without You". The song immediately made it into the top ten of the singles charts and made Ridings a household name in the pop world overnight. She then released her self-titled debut album in 2019, with the single "Castles" once again celebrating international success. Big names such as Taylor Swift and Florence Welch were instant fans. And with her second album "Blood Orange", Ridings proved that she had earned this high praise. On it, she deals with intense topics such as resilience, break-ups and feminism in carrying melodies full of energy and vulnerability. Now she is back with her third album "Mother Of Pearl". She is no longer the same artist as on her first works - she had to find previously unknown reserves deep within herself and brought out a lot of anger, wisdom and femininity in the process. From the beginning of her career, Ridings made a name for herself as an outstanding, life-affirming live artist. Whether at her own concerts, major festivals or as a support act for artists such as Tash Sultana and Lewis Capaldi, a Freya Ridings concert is a holistic, almost healing experience. In support of the new album, Freya Ridings is going on a major UK and European tour, supported by British indie rockers Amber Run, and will also be playing six concerts in Germany!
