Frühjahrsputz mit Erlebnisfaktor in der Marktkirche

On Saturday, April 18, starting at 11 a.m., the Marktkirche parish invites you to take part in a big spring clean of the Marktkirche and is looking forward to more helping hands. The event offers a rare opportunity to experience one of Hanover's most important landmarks first-hand and literally get up close and personal with the medieval monument.

Chairs, candlesticks and other parts of the church furnishings are cleaned together. In between, there is the opportunity to join guided tours of the church and tower or to get to know each other and chat over snacks and drinks.

"The Marktkirche tells the story of Hanover like no other place. If you lend a hand next Saturday, you can discover fascinating details that often surprise even long-time visitors," says church educator Sandra Jankowski, who will also be happy to answer questions about the building history, furnishings and significance of the Marktkirche during the campaign.

"Whether for one or two hours or even longer - we welcome any support. If lots of people help out, the spring clean will be a great community experience where you can see what we have achieved together at the end," says Andreas Otto, one of the sextons of the Marktkirche parish.

For better planning, please register at 11 am, 1 pm or 3 pm. Spontaneous participation is also very welcome.
