Führung durch den historischen Stadtgarten

On "Open Monument Day", dendrologist Christoph Michels will guide visitors through the listed Stadtgarten Park. The Stadtgarten was laid out between 1827 and 1829. It is the oldest preserved public green space in Cologne and around 100 years older than the nearby inner green belt. From 1861, it was increasingly transformed into a garden with a woodland character. Today, the Stadtgarten is home to 50 different tree species, including some magnificent, ancient and unique specimens. It is not for nothing that the Stadtgarten is considered an area worthy of special protection. But it also has a children's playground, is adjacent to a kindergarten and the portal of Neu St. Alban can only be entered through it.
