Führung über das WERK 2 - Gelände

WERK 2 opens its doors and provides a look behind the scenes and into the history of the former factory site.

The Kulturfabrik was built in 1848 as a gas knife factory and was used by VEB Werkstoffprüfmaschinen Leipzig until reunification. After that, WERK 2 - Kulturfabrik Leipzig e.V. was founded in 1992 and breathed new life into the derelict site.
Since then, WERK 2 has been active as a socio-cultural center with an extensive program and workshops.

This guided tour offers insights into rooms that guests are usually denied and is peppered with all kinds of anecdotes from old and new times.


The tour starts at 14:00. You don't need to book in advance, just come along.
