Führung Yuko Mohri & El Arakawa-Nash

In the organizer's words:

In the exhibition, the two artists Yuko Mohri and Ei Arakawa-Nash work together for the first time and are inspired by works from the Kunstmuseum's Fluxus collection. Both artists are influenced by the Fluxus movement and other experimental art movements. Together, they are creating an idiosyncratic exhibition with works from the Kunstmuseum's Fluxus collection as well as new installations that move between the fields of performance, sound and sculpture. As a response or continuation of the major exhibition How We Met, which will present the new Fluxus strand in the Kunstmuseum's collection for the first time in 2025, Mohri and Arakawa-Nash will select two Fluxus artists from the collection to whose works they will refer in How We Meet : Alison Knowles and Geoffrey Hendricks.

Yuko Mohri will also be showing her installation Moré Moré (Leaky) in a version specially adapted for the Kunstmuseum. Mohri creates kinetic sound sculptures by causing water leaks and attempting to plug them. The work is finished when she succeeds in controlling the leak and returning the water to circulation.

For this exhibition, Ei Arakawa-Nash is exploring the works in the Fluxus collection, including theCO2 emissions generated by the works and how these can be represented. At the opening on March 6, Arakawa-Nash will performatively activate the exhibition to kick off a series of performances lasting several months.

Participation in the guided tours is included in museum admission. The meeting point is at the museum ticket office.
