In the barren landscapes of the Salta region in northwest Argentina, photographer and painter Michael Dweck and cinematographer Gregory Kershaw immerse themselves in the life of a gaucho community in their enchantingly beautiful film GAUCHO GAUCHO: Cattle-herding families who keep age-old traditions alive in the face of a high-tech present. In breathtaking black and white images, the directors subtly and empathetically observe people who for centuries have had a connection to their environment, their animals and their land that is characterized by great intuition and empathy.
