In the organizer's words:
Gigolo Tears is a newcomer from Berlin. Radically soft and radically empowering.
Chris Edgar Schalko has been making German-language pop between indie, rap and hyperpop under the name Gigolo Tears since 2021.
2023 saw the release of the single "NN4S" - a feature with Trille and LILA SOVIA. In the same year, Gigolo Tear's first EP "Crybaby" including the menstrual hit single "Cramps" was released.
The EP "Heul doch" was released in fall 2024. With songs like "Hot Maus Summer" (feat. Powerplush) and "PMS". Gigolo Tears continues their queer-feminist emo legacy. Gigolo Tears remains Crybaby by heart.
Gigolo Tears will tour the country as a duo in 2025 and an LP is planned for 2026.
