H2O:
The Origins of H2O remains every young New York hardcore kid's mid-1990s pipe dream. As has since been well documented by NYHC historians and others, Toby Morse was a roadie for Sick of It All in 1994, a band that was already veterans and road warriors at the time. Morse sang with the band during encores and at concerts without a scheduled opening act, he played an original song called "My Love Is Real". The audience reaction encouraged Morse to form his own band with guitarist and singer Rusty Pistachio. Although the original rhythm section of drummer Max Capshaw and bassist Eric Rice was short-lived, the lineup stabilized over the next year with bassist Adam Blake, drummer Todd Friend and guitarist/vocalist Todd Morse, and remained an impressively solid unit for the next two decades.
Wisdom in Chains:
Wisdom In Chains began as an international collaboration between members of Krutch (Pennsylvania, USA) and Daredevil (Netherlands). Maarten from Daredevil contacted Mad Joe Black and Richie Krutch, who were both in Krutch at the time, to form a hardcore band with strong punk and Oi! influences.
