Hannover auf Film

On 11 November, 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., and 12 November, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., private film recordings (Super 8, VHS, etc.) can be digitized and made visible again in real time by the company FILM-DIGITAL at the Hannover Kiosk, Karmarschstraße 40. The data can be taken home immediately on a stick or DVD.

During the waiting time, the Hannover Kiosk can be explored. Mr. Dunker from the Historical Museum's image archive will provide an insight into the museum's image database and explain the work and tasks of the image archive. On request and if there is enough time, it is possible to search for images. Mr. Dunker will be available at the Hanover Kiosk on Tuesday, November 11, from 12 noon to 6 pm and on Wednesday, November 12, from 11 am to 6 pm.

If a film is found to have an archival reference to Hanover, there is the possibility that the Historisches Museum Hannover will cover the digitization costs and archive the original film. In this case, a digital copy will be made free of charge.

We are looking for special events from our city, but also everyday insights into life and work. These can be everyday scenes from the district. Film footage from the workplace in a local company is also welcome.

The FILM-DIGITAL team is now accepting applications by telephone on 05130 58 45 445 or info@film-digital.de. The following information is required: which film format (Super 8, VHS cassette etc.) is to be digitized and to what extent.

The costs for Super 8/8 mm are 1.50 €/minute and for mini-reels 6.50 €/each. For video and Hi8/digital formats, the promotional price is €12/hour. Depending on the amount of data, there are additional costs for data carriers. Other film formats are also possible by arrangement with the experts.
