A LITERARY SLEIGH RIDE

His many fans and followers can already look forward to this! Hans Sigl, Austrian actor and presenter, self-confessed literature fan and universally popular ZDF "Bergdoktor", is going on his first big pre-Christmas reading tour in December 2025.

In the literary potpourri he has put together himself, consisting of both cheerful and contemplative stories by authors such as R.M. Rilke, H.C. Andersen, Oscar Wilde, Antoine de St. Exupery, Luise Kaschnitz and Kurt Tucholsky, as well as the famous "Tinsel Story", Sigl guides us with empathy (and an occasional pinch of irony) through the joys and sorrows and many a wondrous incident of the most beautiful time of the year. His relaxed stage presence makes this literary sleigh ride a special treat: Sigl has the fine art of transporting his audience into strange worlds with emotion and presence for an entire evening.

The evening is musically accompanied and atmospherically framed by familiar friends: Michael Armann, who has been at the piano for decades when Sigl gives readings, improvises congenially on Christmas classics such as "Jingle Bells" or "Silent Night" with bassist Malte Tömißen and percussionists Maria Schneider and Almuth Lustig. The same applies to Katharina Königsfeld, successful organ and piano virtuoso and renowned director of the International Kitzbühel Organ Academy, who will be making the Great Organ resound in a sonorous way on some of the dates.
