Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) is a bit of a loser: he is constantly bullied by Biff Tannen's (Thomas F. Wilson) snobbish gang. However, he has found a very special friend in the quirky scientist Dr. Emmett L. 'Doc' Brown (Christopher Lloyd). He seriously claims to have converted a DeLorian into a time machine, which Marty uses to travel back to the 1950s. There he accidentally prevents an important event for the marriage of his parents Lorraine (Lea Thompson) and George (Crispin Glover). To make matters worse, his past mother of all people falls in love with him and the awkward George seems to lose out. Marty McFly's own existence is suddenly at stake. Together with the Doc Brown of the 1950s, he must now do everything in his power to put the past right. As a thunderstorm is set to play a key role, timing is everything...
