„Herbstklänge“ – Konzert des Sinfonischen Blasorchesters der Musikschule Leipzig „Johann Sebastian Bach“

"Classical, pop and original" - this is the program of the symphonic wind orchestra at its traditional autumn concert on 26 September in the Feinkost courtyard.

The symphonic wind orchestra brings together almost 90 pupils aged between 13 and 21 from the woodwind, brass and percussion sections. The varied repertoire of the top-class orchestra, which also regularly performs at the Gewandhaus and the GeyserHaus park stage, ranges from original compositions for symphonic wind orchestra, arrangements of classical works to arrangements of musicals and film music.

As a special guest, a brass ensemble from the Thessaloniki Music School will enrich the concert. The partnership with the Greek ensemble came about as part of the city partnership between Leipzig and Thessaloniki, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024.
