Hey Sister!

Boundless trust, passionate envy - and forever connected. In the dance piece "Hey Sister!", sisters practise walking in step, holding each other's hearts and hair. Hennermann's horde dances through cool pop songs and tells of sisterly solidarity, power and the search for community - shaped by biology, choice and society.

The piece takes a broader look at the term "sister": between closeness and rivalry, cohesion and demarcation, three dancers from contemporary and urban dance examine how complex and multi-layered sibling relationships are. Themes from pop culture meet feminist questions about sisterhood, solidarity, empowerment and new forms of community. And for all genders! The audience is invited to rediscover, reflect on and take a fresh look at their own relationship experiences.
