In a remote Macedonian village, 50-year-old Hatidze makes her way to her bee colonies living between the crevices every day. Back on her farm, Hatidze looks after her handmade beehives and her bedridden mother. Occasionally, she travels to the capital to sell her honey and hives. One day, a nomadic family settles on the neighboring property and Hatidze's tranquil bee kingdom is invaded by roaring engines, seven screaming children and 150 cows. And soon Hussein, the head of the family that has moved in, makes decisions that could destroy Hatidze's way of life forever.
