Hubert von Goisern returns to the stage in 2027
After a three-year break from the stage: Hubert von Goisern announces Tour 2027 - an open musical field between looking ahead and looking back. Loud and quiet. Whether too loud or too quiet is a question he asks the audience.
"Too loud? Really? I'm not worried about that. I'm more interested in where the audience draws the line."
"I go into every concert with a curiosity about what will happen that evening - at least as curious as the audience."
When Hubert von Goisern goes on tour again in 2027, three years will have passed since he last stood in front of an audience in concert format. However, he has never been quiet during this time.
As part of the Capital of Culture 2024, Goisern spent an entire summer on the road - with spontaneous concerts announced at short notice, with changing guests and line-ups. Musical encounters that defied planning. The road created closeness and opened up a new artistic freedom.
"I was never away. I was outside, on the street, playing - with whoever came up. I invited people, whoever had time was there. Learning to deal with constantly changing situations was both a challenge and an enrichment. We played around 50 concerts. It wasn't a vacation - it was better than a vacation."
Much of what was created in 2024 will continue to have an impact - not as a concept, but as an attitude. Hubert von Goisern has always been an artist who has avoided the expected. His music moves between tradition and innovation, between quiet moments and radical breaks. His style has never been static - but always in flux. "I'm actually someone who prepares for everything in detail. But it was all about experimenting, letting myself be surprised. For me, the appeal lies in the interplay, in combining things that perhaps don't belong together at all. I've never repeated myself - why should I start now?"
This is exactly where the new tour will start: not as a reproduction of existing programs, but as an open musical field in which things can develop. Loud and quiet - also as different musical approaches that will run through the tour.
