In the Meantime: A Play Across two Continent

A shared space between Tehran and Cologne is created on stage. While he plays live from Iran, she appears via video projection from Germany. The audience experiences an intimate duet between two people who remain connected despite thousands of kilometers - through language, movement, memory and shared imagination.

The stage becomes a place of resistance and closeness. Technology is not merely a makeshift solution here, but a consciously used aesthetic tool: projection, signal and screen reflect the reality of the couple's lives - love and care that can only be lived digitally.

The play poses questions that go far beyond the private story: How can closeness be created in times of separation? What role does art play when political boundaries seem insurmountable? How much of the future can be imagined in exile?
