The name IT TAKES TWO is not only due to a well-known song by Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston, which sings about a relationship. It also takes two to make a duo: Martin Voogd on guitar, double bass or ukulele, Dorrit Bauerecker on accordion or toy piano, plus two-part vocals.
At home in different genres, the charming duo from Cologne brings a wealth of experience with them - Martin Voogd from pop, bluegrass, rockabilly and hillbilly, Dorrit Bauerecker from classical music, musical theater and cabaret. Both know how to skillfully explore the musical intersections. The result is a concert melange of folkie-pop, tango, musette and classical music.
With pieces such as On The Road Again, Sugar Baby Love and Wonderful World, Libertango and Bal Musette, the two create a concert experience that delights: the audience is delighted by the ingenious and gripping arrangements and the impressive virtuosity and dexterity on the instruments.
