The Norwegian singer-songwriter Jarle Skavhellen is an authentic artist who combines
traditional folk music with a timeless voice, longing melodies and atmospheric productions.
atmospheric productions. Growing up in Bergen, Norway, in a musical family, Skavhellen began playing guitar at a young age and took lessons from renowned Norwegian guitarist Mads Eriksen. Browsing through his father's extensive vinyl collection, he developed a fondness for artists such as Chet Atkins and Mark Knopfler, and thanks to the many guitars his uncle had at his disposal, Skavhellen quickly became a skilled player. Since the release of the critically acclaimed albums "The Ghost in Your Smile" in 2018 and "Beech Street" in 2021, he has been touring across Europe and is now back with his new album "Ruminator". "This album is a collection of stories and characters. It's about the big things in life, like becoming a father, feeling uncomfortable at parties and being disgusted by crayfish. It's about growing up in the suburbs, making out at bus stops and dreaming about telling your boss to fuck off.

I wrote this album for myself and for my son."

Special guest artist Sarah Bugar, who began writing songs on her guitar in her room after a difficult separation and the stressful consequences of the first lockdown. Through songwriting, she gained new courage and self-confidence.
