At a quarter to ten on November 6, 1877, farmers hear a shot at Peißenberg, and two more at one o'clock. But it wasn't until November 13, 1877 that Schliersee boys came across the body of Georg Jennerwein:
"He spilled his blood on hard rock, / and they found him lying on his stomach / He was shot from behind, his lower chin was splintered", as the famous Jennerwein song goes.

To this day, the "Girgl vom Schliersee" is a legendary figure, revered and romantically glorified as a freedom fighter, "because freedom lives in the mountains", as the song says.

Who this Georg Jennerwein was, who only became immortal through his death, how he lived, how he loved: the actors Johanna Bittenbinder, Heinz-Josef Braun and Stefan Murr tell the story, from his conception to his death, in such an exciting way.
