28 years after the first publication, the author of Sommerhaus,später (1998) reads from her work - with a yellow Reclams Universal Library volume in her hand. That's right: Judith Hermann is now RUB and doubly canonized, so to speak - she now lives in the German literary canon and pantheon at the same time. In 1999, SPIEGEL described her as part of a "Fräuleinwunder" - today she is school reading, a classic, literary history. AlexanderKošenina, professor at the German Department of Leibniz University and literary critic for the FAZ, has added notes and an afterword to RUB 14699. On her third visit to the salon, he asks the author how she herself looks back on the 28 years, what the "Berlin sound" was (or is?) and how Sommerhaus, später reads in the context of Hermann's poetry lecture Wirhätten uns alles gesagt from 2023.
