K im K - Klang im Kino

Audiovisual performances in the cinema

For the third year now, sound and video artists meet under the label "K im K - Klang im Kino" and present the audiovisual pieces they have developed for this evening. Four acts - mostly tandems of sound artists and visual artists - present audio-reactive graphic animations, live documentary-essayistic pieces or immerse themselves in dark 3D worlds.

"K im K" was created in 2022 as part of the Bauhelm Festival of the "FORTUNA Kino der Jugend". A three-channel video projection was used to showcase the ruined cinema in the east of Leipzig. This year, "K im K" is now taking its first step out into another cinema and plans to continue to be a meeting place for the local Leipzig audiovisual scene in the future.
