Kabale und Liebe von Friedrich Schiller // Eine Inszenierung des TheaterPACK

In the organizer's words:

The program includes "Kabale und Liebe", but the prompter and lighting technician are waiting in vain for the actors - the performance is in danger of collapsing! To save the evening, the two of them throw themselves into Schiller's maelstrom of power-hungry intrigue and unconditional love - after all, no one knows the entire text better than the prompter ...

In 2006, we undertook the experiment of developing a chamber play from Schiller's world-famous drama by shortening the text and decimating the cast for school performances, making the hardships and conflicts of the protagonists understandable and bringing them very close to the audience.
Deeply human feelings between love and hate, being at the mercy of others and obsession with power, between genuine faith and false claims: Our two-person version senses both the cabal and love at its core and leads to the inevitably tragic conclusion in a fast-paced and not without comedy.
