The Cologne band Kasalla is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2026 with two concerts in the LANXESS arena. On October 16 and 17, 2026, the five Kölsch rockers will return to the Cologne arena to celebrate the band's anniversary with their fans. The group looks back with a wink at their first arena concert in 2016 for their 5th birthday - a bold step into the "giant bowl" of Deutz at the time - and is now looking forward to storming the big stage again as a 15-year-old "teenage band".

Since its foundation in 2011, Kasalla has undergone an impressive development: What began as a newcomer band in Cologne's carnival has long since become a permanent fixture in the Cologne music scene - and now also inspires fans far beyond the borders of the Rhineland, away from the Fastelovend. Their breakthrough came in 2012 with the hit "Pirate". This was followed by sold-out shows at the Tanzbrunnen and the LANXESS arena as well as several successful albums (two of which made it into the top 10 of the German charts). Nevertheless, the five musicians around frontman Bastian Campmann continue to present themselves as down-to-earth, warm and close to the audience. "Our arena debut in 2016 felt like a huge children's birthday party - now, at 15 years old, we're practically teenagers," says singer Bastian Campmann with a grin. "But we still have just as much nonsense in our heads and just as much desire to be on stage as we did back then!"

Kasalla had already celebrated their fifth anniversary in 2016 with two sold-out shows in the LANXESS arena. Among the well-wishers on stage at the time were surprise guests such as comedy star Carolin Kebekus and reggae musician Gentleman. Ten years, several hits and a stadium concert later, the band is now returning to the venue of that first big venture - with increased experience, but unbroken fun. "The arena is still not a matter of course for us," emphasizes guitarist and songwriter Florian Peil. "We have great respect for the task, but we'll give it our all again to experience two unforgettable evenings together with our team and the fans."

Which guests will be on stage in October 2026 has not yet been revealed. However, it is already clear that the anniversary shows will be a great reunion with the fans, carried by the well-known mixture of Rhineland cordiality, rousing Kölsch rock and a dash of humor. "For us, the concerts are a thank you to everyone who has accompanied us over 15 years," says Campmann.

Arena Managing Director Stefan Löcher also warmly welcomes the band: "We are delighted that Kasalla will be celebrating its 15th anniversary with two concerts in the LANXESS arena. The two shows for their fifth birthday in 2016 were already unforgettable evenings that are still very present in our minds today. We want to and will build on that in 2026 - I'm sure of it! I've known the boys for many years and have been delighted to accompany them on their journey: Whether at our carnival formats such as the "Laughing Kölnarena" and "Elfter im Elften" or even away from our Henkelmännchen. Kasalla is a firm institution beyond the city limits - and this will be celebrated once again next year!
