Kenneth Minor is not an immaculate artificial figure. In changing line-ups (including Steve Gaeta from Universal Congress of/Cool Aid Acid Test, Robert Herz and Maximilian Schneider from Okta Logue/Fooks Nihil/Theodor), Bird Christiani has been up to his musical mischief under this pseudonym for around 15 years now, but modestly without ever having celebrated an anniversary worthy of the band's now impressive history (with an international live presence and top reviews).

After more than 400 gigs at home and abroad (from Bamberg to London), four albums (release: 2010/2017/2019/2022), a bumpy band history, including a rebirth in 2019, Kenneth Minor are currently preparing to record their fifth longplayer.

Previous releases have received regular radio airplay (SWR1, HR 1, WDR5, Deutschlandfunk, Antenne Thüringen, Bayern2/Zündfunk, Byte FM, MDR 1 Thüringen, etc.) and positive reviews in relevant magazines, newspapers, fanzines and online blogs (FAZ, Rolling Stone, etc.). With a presentation of their video for the song "The Day She Came By" in the program 3Sat Kulturzeit, the "cultural accolade" followed in 2022.

Thematically, the songs are broadly about maintaining an affirmation of life and a zest for life in a crisis-ridden, shattered world threatened by climate change and about friendships, interpersonal disappointment and admiration, desperate and kindled feelings of love, the death of one's own father, encounters with people, animals and nature in the Midwest of the USA, etc. Musically, there are no limits, whereby the band members' different preferences for blues, folk, rock and punk promise an interesting mixture and Bird Christiani's characteristic guitar playing and songwriting with a gift for melodies that stick in the ear canal always keep the common thread running.

Since the late summer of 2024, the band's friend Benni Thiel (ex-Schrottgrenze, ex-Jochen Distelmeyer) from Frankfurt is now wielding the drumsticks, while the newly-announced ex-drummer Florian Helleken (officially he remains a family member and best friend) will record the new Kenneth Minor album in his Hersbrooklyn Studios.
