In the year 2022, five filmmakers - Anas Saeed, Rawia Alhag, Ibrahim Snoopy Ahmad, Timeea Mohamed Ahmed and Phil Cox - come together to tell the story of five inhabitants of KHARTOUM: Lokain and Wilson, bottle collectors; Khadmallah, a waitress; Jawad, a volunteer in the resistance committee, and Madji, a civil servant. In April 2023, war breaks out, forcing more than ten million people to flee. The protagonists talk about their experiences of revolution, conflict and exile, as well as their dreams. This collaborative work is a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit and the redemptive power of creativity. The film was awarded the Peace Film Prize at the Berlinale 2025.
