An artist between worlds, between cheerfulness and melancholy: Friedrich Hollaender (1896-1976) was a genius of chanson and a musical jack-of-all-trades. We invite you not only to listen to his unforgettable melodies, but also to discover an eventful life story: born in London, artistically influenced in the vibrant Berlin of the 1920s, forced to emigrate to the United States and finally returning to Germany in the 1950s. While he himself was increasingly forgotten in this country, his songs live on to this day. Many became international successes - above all the immortal chanson "Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuß auf Liebe eingestellt". An evening for a restless artist whose music is still played today between major and minor keys - and hits the heart.
