Children's festival in Mannheim - be there and celebrate with us!

Play, sing, dance, do gymnastics and get creative - for three days, the Kapuzinerplanken in Mannheim's city center will once again be transformed into a huge adventure playground.

As usual, the circus ring of the Paletti children's and youth circus invites you to great performances and offers all children the opportunity to try out new tricks themselves. The Sportkreisjugend tent is also a sporting venue, where children can try out various disciplines and earn their sports license as part of the "Offensive Kindheit aktiv" (Active Childhood Campaign).

Creative minds will get their money's worth at the Youth Art School, the Reiss-Engelhorn Museums, the Kunsthalle Mannheim, IKEA and Delta im Quadrat. There are numerous opportunities for crafting, painting and designing.

New this year: sand painting at Highlight Kisabi, where every child can create their own work of art from colorful sand. Cineplex Mannheim, which is also represented at the children's festival for the first time, will provide a sweet snack in between.

At the Teddy Bear Hospital, children can examine and care for their cuddly toys together with medical students. In addition, children can once again enjoy the rnv children's streetcar and the games offered by "Urmel - really good toys". Anyone who has always wanted to observe the sun can look into space through a telescope at the Mannheim Planetarium.

On the Kinderfest stage, there is a musical program full of variety - from classical music by the Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester to the rhythmic sounds of the Trommelpalast and join-in children's songs, flamenco, hip hop and Bollywood dances. The TourneeOpera, the Young National Theatre and the open-air stage also delight with performances suitable for children.

As a partner, the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival is presenting the animated film "Hola Frida" at the Cineplex Mannheim with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. The Mannheim State University of Music and Performing Arts invites you to a children's music festival in the university courtyard.

The Lions Club Churpfalz treats all guests to homemade cakes and coffee - the proceeds support the Neckarstadt-West Campus cooperation with a circus program for socially disadvantaged children.

As always, there will be lots of great giveaways and brochures for families at the information stand. Child-friendly toilets with changing tables, children's washbasins and barrier-free access directly on the festival grounds ensure comfort. Thanks to the main sponsors GBG Mannheim and rnv as well as many other partners, all offers for children are completely free of charge.
