In the second concert of the opening evening, the vocal ensemble Cinquecento interprets the poignant lamentations of the biblical prophet Jeremiah by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. The ensemble approaches this particularly intense setting artistically through the conceptual pairs of order and chaos, home and exile.
