After six years of making music together in various projects, Raphael Berthold and Julia Kalb are taking a new step with Zonderlin. Their sound is somewhere between indietronic and electro-pop - loop-based, honest, multi-layered and atmospherically dense.
Raphael controls the synthetic and organic elements on the keys, live on stage or digitally preserved from the pair's rehearsal sessions, while Julia creates new musical spaces with bass, her crystal-clear voice and the warm melancholy of an old 70s guitar. Her poetic lyrics in German and English are sometimes dreamy, sometimes drivingly captivating. As a Stuttgart duo, Zonderlin combines electronic elements with an organic, intimate touch - always in search of the perfect flow.
