Author and composer Bodo Wartke transforms the dark tragedy about Oedipus into a fast-paced, sharp-witted stage event full of wit, rhythm and surprising twists. With tongue-in-cheek ease, Wartke combines ancient material with modern linguistic artistry and musical energy.
The actors Armin Zarbock and Claudius Bruns are convincing in a production that is as humorous as it is impressively versatile: they slip into fourteen roles at breakneck speed and bring the tragedy to life with charm, enthusiasm and great stage presence.
