Gnothi Sauton or Per aspera ad astra - maxims that resonate in the music of Alessio Cazzetta: With his unpolished, sparkling tonal language, the young guitarist is reminiscent of musical luminaries who - musically speaking - reach for the stars. The well-known quest for transcendence is undoubtedly evident in the way in which the cosmopolitan with Italian and South African roots creates an "inviting, expansive atmosphere" with which he captivates audiences around the globe. Uniting the four points of the compass under the radar of jazz, he subtly blends influences that can be found somewhere between Coltrane, Hendrix, Indian classical music and neo-romanticism. This quest has led him to many musical adventures in numerous countries, sharing the stage with David Binney, Yumi Ito, Vijay Iyer, Nat Su, Caleb Wheeler Curtis (Orrin Evans), Franco Ambrosetti ... and performing at festivals such as the Kathmandu Jazz Festival, the Cairo Jazz Festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival and in many established clubs in Europe. His latest and upcoming album "Love, Death & The Eternal Blues", which deals with the existential struggles of life, is a commitment to reality and to overcoming suffering.

The Krön/Müller/Rauch trio makes rhythmic music, sometimes dry, intricate and tight, sometimes very wide, gentle, floating. Music that sometimes makes you move, sometimes makes you close your eyes and dream. The connecting link between these contrasting worlds of sound are tangible and catchy melodies that are not afraid to sound like pop, that feel good without being clumsy. From composed structures and with an always perceptible shared sense of form, sometimes individual, sometimes all three musicians take the initiative for communicative improvisations. Gradually or suddenly, energetic lines and arcs are redrawn and renegotiated, only to return to the familiar with clear musical statements at the end.
Fridolin Krön - electric guitar
Florian Müller - double bass
Lucas Rauch - drums
