Benefit concerts for climate justice

A project of the Initiative KlimaGerecht Leben (IKGL)

The Bergisch Gladbach composer and pianist Roland Vossebrecker, a member of the IKGL, has been involved in charity concerts for climate justice for several years and has already raised over €152,000 for the development aid organizations Oxfam and Welthungerhilfe with his concert projects in recent years.

Vossebrecker explains:

"Every donation is a small piece of justice and saves lives. It is also an exercise in solidarity.

I am grateful that I have the privilege of being able to use my modest (musical) means for a good cause."

The ninth concert series for climate justice will take placein spring 2026, with numerous concerts in Aachen, Bergisch Gladbach, Berlin, Bochum, Bonn, Essen, Hamburg, Kassel, Cologne and Reutlingen, among others.

He will soon also be performing in Leipzig.

His program includes his own compositions, including his piano book Volume II (2007/08), which has some exciting surprises in store.

During the concert, the musician will communicate with the audience, talking about the music, the donation project and issues of climate justice.
