In the organizer's words:

Köprü, the Turkish word for bridge, symbolizes the central theme of the exhibition - cultural diversity and the connection between Turkish and German-Turkish identity. Together with 14 designers and artists, the organizers Burak Can Güven & Sinem Duran present an impressive range of forms of expression. From photography, book and poster design, painting and fashion to film and poetry: each work opens up personal and social perspectives on Turkish and German-Turkish culture.

The poems by Med Sadrija (complemented by a stage performance), readings by Bilal Gökce ("Success knows no origin") and a contribution by Idil Bayraktar alias "Jilet Ayşe" set special accents in the exhibition.

Devran will provide the musical atmosphere with traditional instruments.

Köprü wants to build bridges - between cultures, generations and people. The exhibition is an invitation to exchange ideas and reflect together on cultural identity, belonging and diversity in Germany.

Traditional Turkish delicacies and freshly brewed Çay invite you to linger.

Köprü promises a weekend full of inspiration, art, design and intensive encounters in the spirit of cultural dialog in Cologne.
