The drummer and composer Kossi Mawun from Togo is establishing himself as one of the new voices of African jazz on the international stage. His new project is called "Culte" and combines contemporary jazz with the sacred rhythms of West Africa. He enters into a lively dialog between traditional grooves and modern improvisation, where tradition meets innovation.
