She is a Hollywood star, fashion icon and theater director - on November 21, actress Sandra Hüller will be the face and voice of Leipzig's Buchkinder for one evening. Under the title "Kredenzien aller Art - untam Mikroskop", she will interpret selected Buchkinder texts. Visitors can look forward to stories full of humor, poetry and philosophical depth. The texts show children's language paintings and provide an insight into the enriching diversity of literature about children's expression.

The evening serves to support the award-winning Buchkinder Leipzig e.V. publishing house. In the workshops of this unique publishing house, books are written, illustrated, printed and bound by children and young people themselves. All proceeds from the charity reading will go towards the association's projects.

Sandra Hüller has been associated with Buchkinder Leipzig e.V. for many years with a great interest in education, language and young voices. She appreciates the "combination of the wonderful thoughts of children and art. This can come about when children have complete freedom. There is often such a deep truth in the stories and it shows us how closely children observe the world around them. And from this observation and from their imagination, something wonderful emerges. In her opinion, the educational theme will only work when people realize that this is the basis of our society.

The charity evening will be hosted by Julius Fischer, author, musician and member of the Lesebühne Schkeuditzer Kreuz, who will provide pointed nuances with his subtle humor and precise powers of observation. The Leipzig trio RADA synergica will be responsible for the musical entertainment. With world music and klezmer, they create sound spaces in which little stories are told - sometimes tender, sometimes wild.
