A case between the art scene, secrets and false trails
The crime trail in Maxvorstadt is like an interactive city excursion. Even after the first few steps, you realize that the case will gradually entangle you in an exciting story. You follow clues, make connections and quickly realize that it's less about knowing the right way - and more about looking closely.
In the "Spectacular art theft" case, Maxvorstadt becomes the scene of the crime: works by the illustrator Julia Nowicka were stolen from a warehouse in the Kunstareal - actually intended for an exclusive exhibition at Museum Brandhorst. The circle of insiders was small, the plan seemed secure. And yet the pictures have disappeared. The clues? Confusing. A connection to the European Championships emerges, as does the business card of a local pharmacist. Coincidence or deliberate distraction? And what role does the artist herself play?
Now you come into play. Equipped with your smartphone and investigation file, you set off. You talk to suspects, check their statements and try to form a coherent overall picture from individual clues. You constantly receive new information via the investigation chat. You have to decide what is relevant - and what should deliberately lead you on the wrong track. The case develops with every step, and it's often the small details that make the difference.
Your investigation will take you through Maxvorstadt, one of Munich's most exciting districts. Around the Propylaea and the Pinakothek museums, you will find yourself in the heart of the art scene, while places such as the Egyptian Museum or the futuristic Futurohaus open up unusual perspectives. In the Old Botanical Garden or around the Park Café, new approaches emerge, and in the 089 bar, the nightlife mingles with your search for clues.
