Program Kulturkiosk 8/9/10 August:
8.8. "Art, politics & urban development" are the favorite topics of Anja Kolacek and Marc Müller. You can look forward to a heated discussion and homemade pizza. Marc Müller is an artist and curator. His home base is "Die Gemeinde Köln", a project space in a pedestrian passageway on Cologne's Ebertplatz. Alternative approaches to art and society are the subject of research in this project space. We seek alternative paths and focus on an art that, as a mediator of knowledge, opens up new perspectives on our society and can be practiced as a common ritual. (Die Gemeinde) His current project is the LunchCube at Ebertplatz.
9. 8. "From the first to the second mobility turnaround" with an impulse by Prof. Dr. Frank Herrmann Dr.-Ing. Faculty of Vehicle Systems and Production, Institute of Automotive Engineering (IFK) at TH Köln. The founding fathers of the Deutz gas engine factory will be brought to life: Nikolaus August Otto and Eugen Langen, who undisputedly played a key role in shaping the first mobility revolution with the invention of the gasoline engine. At the same time, the impulse shows a possible future development of the second mobility turnaround and spans an arc from yesterday-today-tomorrow. A topic that is always topical and a must for all forward thinkers! Cool drinks and a culinary snack will be provided!
10. 8. "The contemporary witnesses" with Uschi Leßle *1936 and Jochen Kuhs *1942. Anyone who looks at the years of birth of the two protagonists knows that this will be exciting. Anyone who knows them will take their hat off!
They have a lot to tell and have experienced a lot. In 1869, the world's first gas engine factory was built in Deutz-Mülheimer-Straße. The themes of "war and expulsion", "reconstruction, courage and energy" are all part of this Cologne "world place" and are brought to life by the two protagonists. Time spiral springs yesterday-today-morning with delicious plum cake.
