Kultursommer Starnberg 2026 - Fola Dada

Fola Dada, winner of the German Jazz Award 2022, presents a unique mixture of styles from jazz to house with her new album "Sisters & Brothers", which she herself describes as urban-earth jazz.

Her music is energetic and tender at the same time, musically versatile and full of charm and class. With wit and depth, she sings stories of life, love, being a woman, being black, being abandoned and being connected in her versatile voice. Fola asks the questions of our time, searches for answers and endures, even when there are none.

On "Sisters & Brothers" she presents a touching collection of her own compositions, accompanied by the band consisting of Ulf Kleiner on Fender Rhodes, Tommy Baldu on drums and Joscha Glass on bass. Joo Kraus on trumpet, sounds and voice can be heard again and again as a guest.
