Kurzfilm im Veedel – Made in Cologne

In the organizer's words:

We start with music videos, feature films, documentaries and a skater dance video: young German short films all made in Cologne. In the feature film Piecht, Johanna's vacation with her mother in idyllic Piecht is anything but relaxing. Pura Vida Ibiza takes us to the Poller Wiesen on a summer afternoon. Ritchie's youth has faded like the tattoos on his arm. Why is Ritchie trying to make friends with a group of young people celebrating Nelly's 18th birthday? In the documentary Kassieren, the three filmmakers Lea Sprenger, Franca Pape and Amelie Vierbuchen set out in search of archive material about the Kalk chemical plant in Cologne. Who decides which stories are kept or thrown away? With quick cuts, the film tells of the search, of throwing things away, of gaps and mistakes and of one's own inability.
