Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll was born in Singapore and grew up in Bergen, Norway. He started playing the piano at the age of six. He only got into producing at the age of 19, when he wrote his first electronic music himself. From 2013, he drew attention to his skills as Kygo with his bootleg remixes on SoundCloud and landed more than 10 million views with a remix of Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing".
