In the 1970s, 16-year-old Jeanne escapes from a children's home in the mountains, attracted by the alluring lights of the town in the valley. Her search for freedom leads her to a film studio where the movie The Snow Queen, starring the mysterious Cristina, is being shot. A mysterious connection develops between Jeanne and Cristina, drawing Jeanne deeper and deeper into the world of the movie and increasing her obsession with the realm of the Snow Queen. Jeanne loses herself in a confusing game of magic and illusion, in which set and screen become indistinguishable. But the Snow Queen demands a sacrifice...
