Adèle is still at school when she realizes that she is attracted to women. She falls in love with Emma, an art student who impresses her with her extraordinary looks and bourgeois attitude. The two women embark on an affair. Emma makes Adèle her muse and introduces her to her select circle of friends, where Adèle is well received but does not feel completely at ease in the unfamiliar surroundings. When Emma spends some time with her ex-girlfriend Lise, Adèle reacts very jealously and throws herself into the arms of the next best man...
The film won the Palme d'Or in Cannes in 2013.

À 15 ans, Adèle ne se pose pas de question : une fille, ça sort avec des garçons. Her life takes a turn for the worse the day she meets Emma, an art student with blue hair, who helps her discover her desires and allows her to assert herself as a woman and an adult. Facing the others, Adèle grandit, se cherche, se perd, se trouve... Le film d'Abdellatif Kechiche, Palme d'or du Festival de Cannes 2013, est une adaptation du roman graphique Le bleu est une couleur chaude de Jul' Maroh.
